Kalenjin People

 The Kalenjin are called Highland Nilotes because they live in the Highlands of the Rift Valley and are related to the people in the Nile area of Sudan and Uganda.

Man rapes, kills wife in Baringo

Police have intensified the search for a man who battered his wife to death after raping her on a footpath in broad daylight in Ngetmoi location of Baringo district.

According to Officer Commanding Police Division Peter Njenga the suspect Kipchumba Cherono followed his wife Mary Chebon to her parent's home where she had fled to seek shelter following repeated battering by the husband.
