with minimum university entry grades going up day by day, the lives of most youths became misarable since joining uni especially if u r from poor background becames very hard.Imagine out of a class of say 40 students only 5 goin to uni n the rest their fate determined by how rich their parents are. most Kenyan parents spent alot of money educating there children tru secos only to miss a point to joint campus and from there their lives become unbearable since they cannot afford the high cost of fees in parallel programme. entry into the so called high profile mid-level collages(MTC,Dip.teachers coles, pry teachers coles etc.) has been marred by corruption and thus most qualified students are locked out. University Joint admission board should be used to select students for this collages so that students who slightly fall below the entry points will be selected to these collages and polytecnics as per their choice this way one can assured that by working hard they will b assured of a place at least if not in campus then in a good college. the selection process should be rolled downward to cover even certificate cources in so colles like AHITI,.untill all students are at least selected.University students who perform well say First class hons. should at least be assured of ajob by govt if not scholarship. the spirit of hardwork should never be killed or what do you guys say?

Couldn't agree with you more, the education system in Kenya needs a complete overhaul to ensure it's cost effective for the parents who invest a lot in their children only to get disappointed in the long run before it gets to a point where only the rich survive
