Biikabkutit, I am sitting here on a sato evening reading the latest TIME magazine and I find it totally ironical that someone who was BEAUTIFIED by POPE JOHN PAUL and is about to be declared a SAINT by POPE BENEDICT and the entire catholic church would doubt the existence of God, Jesus, Hell and even question her own FAITH in that regard........may be it's just me but it's got me thinking that if someone like Mother Teresa, who basically gave 70 years of her adult life to charity work, clothing the naked, feeding the hungry, healing the sick & comforting the dying would go to such an extent, may be, just may be, the mere mortals like the rest of us who have been spoonsfed the same crap theories of FAITH ever since we were old enough to wipe our own behinds have been lied to....what do you guys think?......don't be shy biikyok, share your thoughts!!! _________________ a CITIZEN without POLITICAL KNOWLEDGE is a VIRTUAL CRIMINAL....when the POWER of LOVE overcomes the LOVE of POWER, the WORLD will know PEACE....I would rather be HATED for WHO I am than LOVED for WHAT I am not....LIVE FREE or DIE HARD!!!

Biikabkutit, it's been a month & a half since i posted this piece and i was hoping that as an editorial opinion, a lot of folks would jump on it but guess what?, no one has & it's got me thinking, why haven't we ?......i hate to break it folks but i think the reason is coz everyone out there is afraid to discuss, debate, analyze and opinionate on anything that touches on religious issues & I dare say in the 21st century, unless we talk about it frankly, all those religious issues that concern us about the past, the present & the future will remain so until we are honest with ourselves and talk the truth for the benefit of our past, current & future generations........again , don't be shy biikabkutit , let's talk about it......... ..........it can only help us, trust me! _________________ a CITIZEN without POLITICAL KNOWLEDGE is a VIRTUAL CRIMINAL....when the POWER of LOVE overcomes the LOVE of POWER, the WORLD will know PEACE....I would rather be HATED for WHO I am than LOVED for WHAT I am not....LIVE FREE or DIE HARD!!!

lol, I'm sorry mr altoo I didn't mean to ignore this one but to tell you the truth I'm also lost for words. I read this story the fist day it came out but never thought of it twice. Lets cut Mother Teresa some slack due to here old age. My grandfather [RIP] towards his sunset days used to tell people I'm in India, funny thing is he also stoped praying every morning as he used to. _________________ Great spirits have always encountered opposition from mediocre minds.' 1. There are times when committed believers feel that God is far away. Just as there are long stretches when prayers seem to fall on deaf ears.
2. Sinking into darkness doesnt mean the light no longer exists. It merely means you cant detect its presence.
3. Faith comes and goes like the tides of an invinsible sea. In every life, there will be low as well as high tides.
4. Belief in God is like a marriage and there will be moments of joy and days of drudgery.
5. To divorce oneself from one's mate-or to abandon belief in God-during the bleak low tides makes no sense at all.
6. Atheists equate the feeling that God is distant with the conclusion that he is a figment of the imagination.
7. Atheist may find more fuel for their godless fires in the revelation that mother Teresa, a revered christian, at times felt distanced from christ.
NB:
Her actions, however, show that she remained committed to God. Even if she didn't experience christ's presence in her heart, she continued seeking his LIGHT in the eyes of the suffering poor.
Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! _________________ Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there

Altoo, i think Mother Teresa was just like all the people that have gone before her as far as religion is concerned, looking at the bible, with the exception of Jesus most of the other playerrs have in their lives doubted their Faith in God for example David who as we know was one of the greatest kings and an ancestor of the Christ doubted his own Faith in his life yet we dont expect that from him, Peter in the new testament literally walked with Jesus but denied him when the going was tough, so i dont think its a matter of us being spoonfed but more of us accepting that we are not perfect and that most religions give us the opportunity to repent and be redeemed.
Our forefathers also believed in God and from time to time they fell short of his expectations that is why they offered sacrifices so as to be reconciled, mothr Teresa doubting her Faith does not make us want to start believing that religion is a ploy to brainwash but more the fact that even the people whom we view as being perfect are just human and have their moments of doubt
Enough blubbering for now am out of here, catch you later
