If only we could emulate the great Jesus Himself

I grew up a christian, not that am no longer one, I still find solace and peace of mind in the bible and prayer. One thing though that I have notice is that most practising "saved" people have distant themselves so much in showing the great teaching of Jesus Christ. Why do I say that, how many people are filled with love that can be extended to others, how many saved people shun the people they consider unsaved, how many saved people have ever thought of those dying of hunger, sick in hospital, crippled, the misfits and try to pass the joys of love and companionship to them.

What have our churches come to other than show of wealth, where we do harambees for the pastors to drive four wheel drives, yet in the same church orphans are leaving school for lack of school fees and widows are sleeping hungry with there children. Where have people lost it such that material gain and social standing define the christians more than the richness of the heart. Where did LOVE go to.

Who needs spirtual nourishment more, who did Jesus come for, who did He associate with. Why have we been the first to cast the first stone and label others sinners, yet it is the sinners who need our love, appreciation and care more. Why have people turn the churches to showbiz, am sure that Jesus didnt only weep that day of crucification only but is still weeping till day.

Jesus summarize it for us, by using only word, Love. I dont know how many people have ever known that Love is the strongest and the most healing treasure any christian can extend to the world. If only we could emulate Jesus teaching, all other things will follow.

if JESUS really existed and if came back from wherever he is today, i dare bet he would be pretty pissed off at what caucasian religious zealots & fundamentalists have done in his name, as in killing other human beings, creating an organized religious fabrication to subverse other humans, invading, enslaving & colonizing people of color around the world and ripping off the less fortunate of the society only to have the funds raised make the rich even more richer..wtf?.....WWJD?.......I DARE SAY HE WOULD BE KICKING butt by getting these so called religious leaders' fat asses handed to them in a silver platter

I am training to be a Theologian and I am encouraged to read your encouragements and arguments. The world is full of wicked things, simply because of SIN. God knows why? We live in the Sinful nAture with the ORIGINAL GUILT and ORIGINAL SIN.
