I know a lot of my Kinsmen who have their passions on boiling point might try to insult me.What I will ask them is this: Read what I am going to say,then if you think it doesnt make sense,then go ahead and call me whatever you want to.But hear me out first before making any summary judgements.
I haven't been making any contributions on this forum.Even that being the case,I have always monitored what goes on in here.So I am well versed with whats current.
The reason why I am ashamed to call myself a Kipsigis at this point is the fact that NEVER AT ONE TIME DID I THINK WE AS A TRIBE WAS CAPABLE OF BURNING A CHURCH WHERE CHILDREN AND WOMEN WERE SEEKING REFUGE!!!

You indeed represent the minority of us in the bell curve who share the mighty fortress of insight. You speak like one who knows yesterday, today and can perceive tomorrow. I wish my dear and fellow Kenyans could pluck a page out of your mighty tree of wisdom. But I am sad too. Many Kenyans, including a vast majority in this august forum have answered the call to address the current political scenario in Kenya on a confrontational predisposition with little or no regard to consequences and the impending aftermath.

You are a wise man, a man of wisdom and tact. To me, you represent maturity and I hope all Kenyans are as yolked with it and their passions as proudly as you are. No leader should call or incite others to commit an act that he or she very well knows has consequences...ones that could potentially destabilize or propagate havoc upon a country and its peoples. I stand corrected that not all of us are stupid, some of us have now become wisemen for they saw and they continue to see. Stupid as we all know, is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same outcome. Thus, maturity in this context is knowing and understanding what stupid really is. Like you point out, what is the need to employ massive demonstrations when the outcome yields negligible objectives and goals achieved plus costly outcomes. I wondered truly how many of us are familiar with risk assessment.

The most plausible way to get rid of Kibaki if he has stolen the election is to follow the path that leads to the least resistance. However long this path may appear to take, and however narrow and far fetched it may seem, it is the only path that guarantees our nation stability and accords respect to life, property and truly the term patriotism. I can only hope Hon. Raila Odinga and President Mwai Kibaki, Kalonzo Musyoka included, can espouse true leadership and think like the few in the bell curve. The bell curve is the most scientific and magnanimously correct depicter of leadership I have ever come across in my years of study. I pray we do not learn the hard way like brethren in some countries in Africa that we all too well know about.

Ps. Is it not shaming that in this forum of ours we all love to contribute to, someone actually changed my personal information, changed my logo and I could not tell what else since I posted an article yesterday and replied to a post calling for a petition to the Commonwealth? I actually thought we all ought to respect each others opinion even if it differs from our own without resorting to web object assassinations? I would hate to think that because I expressed certain views my brothers or sisters hated me in return to that tune. I am saddened.

Kip's shame ought to be our shame too. When one part of a body hurts, then the entire body absorbs and experiences the pain. It is called UNITY. When I espoused that I was ashamed to be a Kenyan by virtue of seeing what Kenyans were doing to each other, it was not meant to educate the narrow minded that I had a disconnect or was contemplating on effecting one by virtue of my shame! All it translates to is the fact that there is empathy in the HUMAN SOUL. Those of us who lack it have indeed no soul at all.

And truly, why would someone, a Kenyan at that and motivated by hate, enter a house of worship and attack, maim, kill and then torch innocent men, women and children seeking refuge and shelter just because they are a particular tribe, voted a particular way, support a certain political candidate or because that act would convince fellow Kenyans--Kibaki, Raila, or the international community we so much are bent to pleasing--that action needs to be taken to right justice and that violence is the only solution to restore 'democracy' following an election that was rigged? Some of us live in comfort to the tune that we have lost touch with reality. Some of us have lost our souls...yet seek to gain the whole world. Some of us will belittle those who even seek and aspire to defend the sanctity of life and humanity. We can not be that educated that we have uneducated ourselves off of what our parents, grandparents or our forefathers taught us.

The geometry of life is akin to a cycle. What goes around usually comes around...as they say. Thus, as Kenyans in the Diaspora, and for those at home...these are our times. If we repeated the mistakes of our predecessors, then we can not claim any progress at all. I will teach my children that they ought to be and can do better than I because if they aim to be just like us parents, then indeed they have made no progress at all. Pass on the right messages. Because we never know the impact they could have on future generations. Do unto others as you would want them to do to you. Our country cries for deliverance...and there are many ways to execute the strategies for attaining that deliverance. If we search deep in our hearts we shall find that we had all the answers all along and that violence for violence was not one of them.

I figure you didn't read my previous reply because you were too busy coming up with other names to call me. Look here, don't be too bitter! This forum is not an ODM proaganda machine. It's a forum for intelectuals who can disagree with people without taking it to heart like you do. Why are you so hurt? Did someone hit your soft spot?
